The question of when we will be gathering together again has been the subject of much prayer and discussion by our church’s leadership. We are asking God for wisdom as we attempt to follow the guidelines of New York State and New York City regarding the timing for reopening our church campus. At the same time, we are making plans and putting protocols in place to ensure your safety and well-being when we are able to meet again. Who Are We?

The Security Ministry is responsible for the security of the entire campus of the Brooklyn Tabernacle as well as the safety of leadership and church members.

Eligibility to Volunteer

In order to serve in this ministry, you must be a member of the Brooklyn Tabernacle and have served in at least one other capacity at the Brooklyn Tabernacle prior to applying to this ministry. Ministry volunteers must go through an interview process as well as present references from ministries in which you have served to become eligible for membership in this ministry.

Activities & Functions

The Security Ministry works alongside the security staff of The Brooklyn Tabernacle.

Frequency of Service

Typically, ministry volunteers will serve on Sunday and Tuesdays as well as special church events held throughout the year.

Length of Commitment

All Security Ministry volunteers are asked to make a one-year commitment to the ministry.
