The question of when we will be gathering together again has been the subject of much prayer and discussion by our church’s leadership. We are asking God for wisdom as we attempt to follow the guidelines of New York State and New York City regarding the timing for reopening our church campus. At the same time, we are making plans and putting protocols in place to ensure your safety and well-being when we are able to meet again. Who Are We?

This ministry is dedicated to providing information and services to our congregation and visitors on Tuesdays and Sundays in the lobby of 17 Smith Street.

Eligibility to Volunteer

In order to serve in this ministry, you must be a member of The Brooklyn Tabernacle. 

Activities & Functions

Ministry workers provide useful information about church events and direct the members and visitors to requested locations, such as the Welcome Center, the Café, 180 Livingston Street, etc.

Frequency of Service

An Information Services Ministry volunteer serves twice a month on Tuesdays and/or Sundays in the lobby of 17 Smith Street.

Length of Commitment

All Information Services Ministry volunteers are asked to make a one-year commitment to the ministry.

Special Requirements

Due to the diverse languages spoken by our congregation and visitors, we also need workers who speak Spanish, Portuguese, French, Mandarin, German and other foreign languages.
