The question of when we will be gathering together again has been the subject of much prayer and discussion by our church’s leadership. We are asking God for wisdom as we attempt to follow the guidelines of New York State and New York City regarding the timing for reopening our church campus. At the same time, we are making plans and putting protocols in place to ensure your safety and well-being when we are able to meet again. Stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.

In the meantime, we hope that you will continue to join us for Tuesday Prayer Onlinebeginning at 7pm; Sunday Worship Online, beginning at 9am; and weekday Devotions Onlinebeginning at 10am. We also invite you to check the Churchwide Announcements on our home page to learn about additional online events for each member of your family.

Jesus Sets Us Free

“'I tell you, get up, pick up your mat, and go home.’” (Mark 2:11 GNT)

Jesus has the power to forgive sins, and that was the first thing he offered to the paralyzed man whose friends lowered him through the roof of the place where Jesus was speaking to the people.  He then healed the man, telling him to pick up his mat and to walk.  Jesus not only dealt with the man’s sin, but also took away the thing that was restricting him and holding him back.

Jesus still has the power to forgive sins today. Moreover, Jesus wants to remove the thing that is a hindrance in your life, that keeps you bound, that keeps you from being all that God made you to be.  Salvation is more than dealing with the junk in the past, which has to be confessed and forgiven.  You see, Jesus is both Savior and Lord.  He wants to forgive you; but he also wants to set you at liberty!

Sin will keep you in a two by four ditch, walking around with a troubled conscience.  But Jesus comes, washes your sins, and helps you with the things that bind you.  It could be that guilty conscience, or complexes, racial prejudice, immorality, fear, discouragement, and so many other things.  Jesus will provide all that you need, so that you can be made whole in body, mind and spirit.  Let him begin that healing in you today.

Read Mark 2:1-11 to see how Jesus healed a paralyzed man.
