Early on Monday, February 6, a powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit southern Turkey and northern Syria. Thousands of buildings have collapsed in both countries, and the current death toll is more than 28,000 people, and millions more affected. These numbers will continue to climb daily. This happened in the middle of major snowstorms. In addition, this region has already been devastated by the long running Syrian Civil War, which caused more than 400,000 deaths and more than 10 million to flee as refugees.

The Brooklyn Tabernacle, through its Global Missions Ministry, is closely connected regionally to many local churches and ministries in the affected areas. We are looking to raise funds to equip and empower these local churches to minister to those in greatest need in their communities. We will work with our ministry partners to provide food, blankets, tarps, temporary shelters, medical support and other necessities.

If you would like to be a part of this effort to minister to those whose lives have been so tragically impacted by this natural disaster, please click the “GIVE” button below.

Thank you for your help and for joining us in prayer for the people of Turkey and Syria.
