He’ll Take You Through

“This is what the Lord says—he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters…” (Isaiah 43:16 NIV)

When God’s people came to the Red Sea, with the enemy in hot pursuit, God opened the sea and they were able to go through.  The Bible says that they went through on dry land, because God had made a path for them.  But a path to where?  To the promised land!  That was what was awaiting the Israelites on the other side of the water.  The land of milk and honey and the distribution of land to the tribes of Israel had been promised them by God, but the path that led there was through the mighty waters.  That’s the history of every man or woman that has ever been blessed and used by God.  They’ve been through the waters, but the path they took through the waters led them to the place God wanted them to be.

Is anything overwhelming you today?  God can make a path in the midst of that trial you are going through; God can make a way through the waters so that you can get to the other side safely.  God is saying, “I have everything you can imagine waiting for you, but the way to it is through the waters, through the sea.”  If you try to go around it, you’ll miss it.  You have to go right through it, for the path is through the difficulty.  The way is through the waters.  And when those waters threaten to overwhelm you and the devil tells you to run away, he knows that you would actually be running away from the promise that God has for you.  It’s just on the other side of the waters, which represent that obstacle, that painful trial of your faith, that thing that threatens to sweep you away.

If you are going through the waters right now, start celebrating the promise of God by praising his name.  He’s going to take you through!

Read Isaiah 43:16-21.
