Praise and Victory

“When they began to [praise the Lord], the Lord threw the invading armies into a panic.” (2 Chronicles 20:22 GNT)

Throughout history, God’s people have found that when they lay their need before the Lord, they get the victory by praising him.  As we see in our Scripture verse for today, this happened with the people of Israel when they faced an invading army.  Actually, when we start to think of how great God is and how much he loves us, it’s nearly impossible to stay in his presence without exalting his name, even if we have petitions on our hearts and tears in our eyes.

Be encouraged today to mingle your petitions with thanksgiving and praise.  Then stop worrying and struggling… Just take a deep breath and rest in the arms of God.  While you are praising him, he will work mightily on your behalf!

Read 2 Chronicles 20:20-22; and Philippians 4:6-7.
