Show Me How to Pray

Sunday, September 3, 2017

“In the same way the Spirit also comes to help us, weak as we are. For we do not know how we ought to pray; the Spirit himself pleads with God for us in groans that words cannot express. “ (Romans 8:26 GNT)

God hears and answers prayer, but we need to know what to pray about.  We have to ask God for insight, because many times we don’t know the will of God concerning a situation.  Sometimes we’re at a loss, but the Holy Spirit can show us how to pray.  Once you do know, you have to pray and not give up.  Ask and keep on asking!  Seek and keep on seeking!  While the Bible tells us to avoid vain repetition of words thinking they have power, you can keep on praying once you know the will of God.  Do as the early disciples did.  Ask the Lord today, “Show me how to pray,” and seek his direction in prayer.  Then begin to pray, and don’t let go!

Read Romans 8:18-30.
