Don't Forget God!
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of his benefits.” (Psalm 103:2 NASB)
Sometimes material blessings become a curse, because they make you forget God. Instead of owning a car, you may find that the car owns you; instead of having a job, it may be that the job has you. We can’t let God’s blessings overwhelm us and make us overlook the Giver of the blessings. Remember that everything we have comes from him. When we forget that, we start drifting away. Let’s not be counted among those who “shrink back” (Hebrews 10:39 NIV) or drift away; instead let’s remind ourselves, even as the Psalmist did, to bless God and to forget none of his benefits!
