Depend on God Alone
“I depend on God alone; I put my hope in him.” (Psalm 62:5 GNT)
As human beings, we like to depend on tangible things — what we can see and hear and touch. This includes people. So we put our trust in family, friends, lawyers, jobs, education, the government, and other people and things. But we have to be reminded that our dependence has to be on God. More than that, the Psalmist says that he depends on God alone. In other words, everyone and everything will fail you at one time or another, but Jesus will never fail.
Let’s call on him today, and let’s say with the Psalmist, “I depend on God alone, and I put my hope in him”!
